Phoenix acquired all process assets from Flying Dog Brewery’s facility in Frederick, Maryland, following the brewery’s acquisition by a larger beer producer and subsequent production relocation. The original Flying Dog owners, who retained ownership of the land and buildings, sold the property to a non-beverage manufacturer and were required to clear the site within a defined timeframe. Phoenix promptly signed a purchase agreement and managed the complete liquidation of the brewery’s equipment. Assets included a 50 BBL and 15 BBL brewhouse, over a dozen 200–250 BBL jacketed fermenters, a yeast propagation system, grain handling equipment, bottling equipment and more. Some items were sold via auction, with remaining assets transferred to Phoenix’s yard for future sale.
