Iron molybdenum based catalyst from Sud Chemie, Topsoe, Lonza, Perstrop or other suppliers. 8052 stainless steel tubes in each reactor. Tube diameter 25.4 mm, thickness 1.65 mm, length 1000 mm. Formaldehyde product concentration 37 – 50 wt.%, methanol less than 1 wt.%, formic acid less than 200 ppm. Consumption per metric ton of formaldehyde 37% product: 415 kg methanol, 85 KWh, 450 – 500 Kg process water, 600 Kg steam (produced). Potential to produce urea formaldehyde.
