Project Overview

In 2024, Pharmaron needed to clear a production area at its Coventry, Rhode Island API manufacturing facility so the space could be repurposed for another use.

The production area contained a range of pharmaceutical processing equipment that Phoenix Equipment acquired for resale through the secondary market. Phoenix purchased the equipment outright, covered the removal costs, and transferred the acquired assets into its inventory for continued remarketing. The approximately $1 million project also included the complete cleanout of a separate warehouse containing additional idle equipment and large storage racks.

The Challenge

Pharmaron needed to clear both a production area and a separate warehouse for future use. The work involved removing specialized pharmaceutical equipment from the production area, clearing additional idle assets and storage racks from the warehouse, and leaving the warehouse in broom-clean condition.

Pharmaceutical Equipment Acquisition & Removal

Phoenix acquired and removed a broad range of pharmaceutical processing equipment from the production area.

Major equipment included:

  • Heinkel HF300 Inverting Filter Centrifuge
  • 4 × 1,500-gallon Alloy Fab 316 stainless steel reactors
  • 0.25 m² Guedu Hastelloy Nutsche Filter Dryer, Model ML-250
  • 4 m³ 316L stainless steel Nauta dryer/mixer
  • Unused Frewitt HammerWitt-6 mill
  • Unused 750-liter Buchi reactor system
  • Additional pharmaceutical processing equipment

The acquired equipment was added to Phoenix inventory for continued remarketing through the secondary market.

Warehouse Cleanout & Building Reuse

The project also included a complete cleanout of a large warehouse containing idle and surplus equipment along with substantial storage racking. Phoenix removed the equipment and racks and returned the warehouse in broom-clean condition, allowing Pharmaron to repurpose the building for future use.

Recovering Equipment Value While Creating Reusable Space

By purchasing the equipment outright and covering the removal costs, Phoenix gave Pharmaron a straightforward path to clear both spaces while preserving reusable pharmaceutical equipment for resale. The project returned the warehouse in broom-clean condition and freed both areas for future use.
