How Does a Double Arm Mixer Operate?
Double arm mixers have two mixing blades, which are placed in a mixing trough.
The rotation of these blades causes the product to be transferred from blade to blade, resulting in a figure eight pattern. The blades in a double arm mixer can rotate at the same speed or different speeds.
Release of the product can be accomplished in several ways. The mixing trough can be tilted forward with the assistance of a hydraulic system. Another method is via the bottom of the unit, where the product is released through a ball or plug type valves.
