Nylon 6 Plants for Sale

Used 140 MTPD Nylon 6 Polymer Chip Plant built in 1999. Designed to make polymer in cylindrical chip form by reacting caprolactam in VK tube reactors. Caprolactam is polymerized under elevated temperature and moderate pressure, under the strict exclusion of oxygen and in presence of water to a high viscous melt. The plant includes two (2) production lines with capacity of 100 MTPD and 40 MTPD, respectively. Each line includes 6 major process sections: lactam / additive preparation and dosing, continuous polymerization, chip production, continuous extraction, continuous drying and extract water evaporation.

Complete, integrated engineering plastics compounding plant designed to produce high-performance Nylon (PA6/PA66) compounds. Total Compounding Capacity: approximately 11,000 – 12,000 metric tons per year. The facility includes twin-screw extrusion, single-screw extrusion for densification, drying and finishing systems, material handling, in-house laboratory testing, and automated packaging — enabling full-scale production from raw polymer to finished product. Proven in the manufacture of OEM-grade materials, the plant offers immediate capability for both high-volume and specialty compound production. The plant produced several grades of nylon products: Unreinforced PA6/PA66, ZYtel® 70G/73G/74G/80G Resins, Glass Reinforced PA6/PA66, Zytel® ST Resins, Super Tough Grade PA6/PA66, Minlon® Resins, Mineral Filled, FR Grades. The plant can also process other base polymers such as polypropylene and polyethylene.

Used 225,000 LBPD Nylon 6 Extrusion Plant built in 1970. With the first 2.5" dia. extruder on service in 1967, this plant continuously upgraded its production facility to manufacture Nylon 6 products. The latest installation of a 3.5" dia. extruder boosted its total capacity to 225,000 lbs per day. The plant is equipped with (6) Davids Standard 3.5" dia single screw extruder, (26) Barmag 2.5" dia. single screw extruder and (1) Hartig 1.5" side arm extruder.
