Glycerin Plants for Sale

Used 50 TPD Glycerin Plant commissioned in 2002 and shut down in 2008. This plant is designed to encompass crude distillation and glycerin bleaching, producing USP pharma grade glycerin. The plant consists of a pre-dryer, a structured packing distillation column, and a continuous bleaching unit. The process incorporates two post-addition stills for residue recovery, and can be modified to be capable of running "all vegetable" based biodiesel crude once a precut column is installed to remove methanol. The glycerin produced will be in accordance with pharmaceutical glycerin specifications, with a concentration of 99.8% glycerin minimum.

Used 24 TPD pharmaceutical-grade glycerin plant, built by CMB of Italy in 2002. This plant is double effect type allowing a combined process flexibility and steam saving in the water vapor distilling from the first effect being used for the spent-lye concentration in the second effect. The distillation column of this plant is composed of various sections including: (1) Bottom Section: the glycerin and water are evaporated by an external reboiler with forced circulation. (2) First Packing Layer: the rising vapor is countercurrenrly washed by a partial recycle of condensed glycerin. In this section, all heavy components are scrubbed from the vapor. (3) Second Packing Layer: the glycerin condensed in the third packing layer is dried by countercurrent washing of the vapor. (4) Third Packing Layer: most of the glycerin is condensed by an external pumparound. (5) Fourth Packing Layer: the second grade glycerin is condensed by another external pumparound. (6) Demister: the vapor passes through it for separation of any entrained droplet.

Used 12000 ton-per-year Glycerin to Epichlorohydrin plant. Commissioned in 2012 and shut down in 2013. The plant consists of two production trains: 1 - Glycerin purification unit, the technology and designer are DBO (Desmet Ballestra Oleo). 99.5% final product (Technical Glycerin) is obtained after 80%-85% crude glycerol goes through multi-stage distillation and rectification. 2- Production of dichloropropanols (DCP). Technical glycerin is subjected to multistage hydrochlorination by wet and dry method to obtain the final product (DCP) during the process. DCP is the intermediate product for the production of EPI, the plant has no process equipment to produce Epichlorohydrin from DCP. The plant has on-site railroad that has access to a major seaport.

Used 12000 ton-per-year glycerin plant, commissioned in 2012 and shut down in 2013. The technology and designer are DBO (Desmet Ballestra Oleo). Manufacturing of crude glycerin (80 - 85%) takes place through multi-stage distillation and rectification. Final product is 99.5% pure technical glycerin. The plant has on-site railroad that has access to a major seaport.

Used 1,800 TPY Glycerin Plant built in 1996. Uses crude glycerin as feed stock to produce final, distilled glycerin with minimum purity of 99.6%. The crude concentrated glycerin is transferred through a pump to the deaerator to remove any air. Then it's transferred to the heat exchanger where reach 80?C, entering to the column to be distilled in different stages under a special conditions to produce distilled glycerin with 99.6% min B.P. USP glycerin.
