Used nitric acid purification plant designed by De Dietrich Process Systems GmbH to produce 680 kg/hr of purified nitric acid of 68 wt.% from 780 kg/hr of feed nitric acid. The plant operates on the principle of re-boiling nitric acid at its boiling point, vaporizing it, and condensing it back. Impurities with higher boiling points remain in the residual acid (waste acid). The purified nitric acid product has metal trace and other impurities at ppb level, perfect for the applications in semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical, analytical chemistry industries. The machinery and piping system of this plant are constructed from corrosion-resistant materials such as Borosilicate Glass/Quartz, PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), and PFA (Perfluoroalkyl Alkane). The plant was commissioned in 2018 and operated for only 8,500 hours. All the equipment is preserved well.
