1.5 MMSCFD Nitrogen Rejection Unit – NRU – using PSA, pressure swing adsorption technology, built in 2018. The system can be used to process raw natural gas or methane-rich gas landfill gas with 3 or 4 adsorption beds depending on N2 concentration and outlet gas requirements. Currently, the process steps combine to produce a sales gas compressed to 270 psig that has less than 5 vol % N2. The overall methane recovery can be up to 95% by volume depending on the initial concentration of N2 and the owner could customize the unit for helium recovery.
