Phoenix Equipment Corporation has this used Trimethylammonium Chloride (TMA-HCl) plant immediately available.
This unit is a part of a Choline Chloride (CC) plant (plant # 239). It was constructed in 2000 and produced 70% TMA-HCl which can be used as raw material for the productions of CC, starch modifiers and cationic monomers. The unit has the reaction of TMA with HCl in a reactor. The reaction product is brought to the correct concentration by evaporation of water in a separate vacuum enamel lining evaporator. The amount of heat is controlled by an analyzer. The whole process is continuous. The product flows to a batch tank and after analyzing to a storage tank or to the truck loading. The process can be highly automated and requires a minimum of personnel. The yield on key raw materials is: HCl 100%, TMA 98% (2% receycled).
