Used ethanol recovery plant designed by Delta-T for sale immediately available. The plant, including 2 lines, each 1.5 MM GPY, is designed to recover ethanol from waste liquids containing alcohol such as spilled or out-of-date beer, residual stream from ethanol plants, etc. The process is distillation and dehydration only. Alcohol waste stream is heated and distillated in a stripper column to increase the ethanol content. The ethanol flow is further concentrated through a second step of distillation in a rectifier column. Remaining water is removed in molecular sieve dehydration unit by forcing the ethanol-rich vapor through a tankful of beads. Pores in beads trap water molecules while larger ethanol molecules flow around the beads. To get the water molecules out of the beads so they can be used again, a vacuum is applied while a small amount of ethanol flows through the tank, basically reversing the earlier process. The mixture is then removed and reprocessed. After cooling, 200 proof liquid ethanol is pumped to a storage tank.
