The ammonia recovery plant recovers ammonia from the chemical reactions which use ammonia as one of raw materials. The aqueous ammonia stream is recovered as the overhead product of distillation column. The composition of the aqueous ammonia solution is controlled by feed-to-distillate ratio, column reflux ratio, column temperature and pressure, and presence of alpha picoline.
The recovery plant can handle 31-50 gallons per minute of ammonia/organic/water solution.
