The plant has production capacity of 1,150 - 1,600 MTPD. The plant, using natural gas as feedstock, comprises two parallel Foster Wheeler reforming furnaces and a Low Pressure Methanol Synthesis Loop employing a Quench Converter. Regular plant overhauls and inspections were undertaken throughout the plant life. During the last major turn-around, the Methanol Synthesis Converter was changed to the more effective Methanol Casale ARC type internals. The high-alloy reformer outlet headers were both replaced due to cracking.
