Vacuum Shelf Dryers are designed for drying materials that do not require agitation and can be processed in small batches. The material is loaded onto pans or bowls and placed onto the heated shelves. The standard vacuum capacity for shelf dryers can be anywhere from 30 to 100 psig / FV. Steam or water is often used to heat the dryer but oil can also be utilized. Certain coatings can be applied to the inside of the dryers such as Teflon, Heresite, or Plasite.
