Our History
In 1974, Louis Spector and William Spector, father and son, founded Spector Equipment Company (SECO), harnessing Louis’ forty years in the industrial machinery and surplus business and William’s entrepreneurial spirit to salvage surplus industrial sites and equipment. Over the years, the company increasingly concentrated on the chemical process industry and the name changed to Phoenix Equipment – illustrating the idea that shutdown chemical plants and equipment can be re-used, find new life and rise from the ashes. Today, over 40 years later, William and his son, Jesse, have continued the family tradition, expanding our capabilities to include complete plant relocation sales and turnkey plant dismantlement and decommissioning throughout the world.
