Used 14" 30" JH Day 3-Roll Mill. Model AN 08602.Cored mild steel rolls. Hydraulic roll sets for front and back rolls, complete with apron discharge. Explosion Proof 25 HP, 440 volt, 1170 rpm, 3-phase, 60 Hz drive, Serial #4454. Rolls were recently dressed by JH Day.
Used Norton Chemical Process mill. Serial #CV-82124 with Shultz SC-2 controls. 110VAC.
A 3-Roll mill works by feeding material, normally a paste, through the spaces between three rotating rolls. The pressure and shear between these rolls is created by each roll rotating more quickly than the last. The result is the material can be combined, refined or homogenized depending on the application.
