Products Liquid and Gaseous Ammonia

Overview

Used ammonia of maximum proven capacity of 1,160 TPD. The plant is still in operation. Products: 70% gaseous ammonia, 29% liquid ammonia and 1% ammonia water. The last major turnaround in 2021 replaced reformer tubes, syngas line, catalyst and overhauled turbines and compressors. Siemans DCS migration on the user interface in 2019. Feedstock: natural gas 50 bar, specific consumption 620 - 640 m³/t. The plant at full capacity exports 4 bar steam 2.0 to 2.1 T/T ammonia and 16 bar steam 0.1 to 0.2 T/T ammonia. CO2 emission 2.0-2.1 t/t. This plant includes the complete production sections of natural gas desulphurization, primary reformer, secondary reformer, high and low temperature shift converters, CO2 removal, syngas compressor, air compressor, ammonia synthesis, and ammonia evaporation. Primary reformer operates at 790°C and 30 bar with the secondary reformer at 950 °C. Ammonia synthesis operates at 270 bar. A 500 TPD Linde designed methanol synthesis loop for green methanol production project is integrated in this ammonia plant.
