This 13,000 TPY sulphonation / sulphation plant manufactures detergent intermediates, the materials used to make detergents and cleaning products. The plant includes the following process sections: air drying, sulphur melting, burning & SO2 / SO3 conversion, sulphonation / sulphation, neutralization, exhaust gas cleaning. Sulphonation occurs in a multi-tube falling film reactor. The plant is equipment with an excellent waste management system for SO2/SO3 emission, sulphate liquor and waste water.
