A FitzMill is a type of comminution hammer mill made by The Fitzpatrick Company.
About the FitzMill Comminution Hammer Mill: As agglomerates that are too large of a proper mixing pass through the comminution chamber of the machine the hammers use the forces of shear, compression and impact to cause the to reduce in size. It achieves these forces with high-speed hammers spinning and driving the larger particlates into each other causing them to rub, crush and grind into one another. The finer matter is then pushed through a screen to a collection point. FitzMills are available in several different designs and sizes ranging from the L1A, L1A/U5 Lab Scale to the Pharmaceutical scale models M5A, D6A, D6B, F8B and the large Industrial sized DAS06, DKAS012, FAS012, FAS020, HAS030.
There are a far range of industries that use FitzMill comminution mills - included are Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Chemical, Food, Waste processing, mineral processing, ceramics and electronics.
