The Vacuum Pan Dryer is based on the well-established and proven Filter / Dryer technology but instead the porous filter bottom is replaced with a heated flat bottom. The change in design of the heated flat bottom enlarges the heating area considerably. The agitator of the pan dryer is also normally heated and is equipped with speed control. Pan Dryers provide a low temperature drying particularly suited for heat sensitive products. Heat is transferred to the product through the walls of the vessel and the flat-bottom plate. Guedu manufactures a Vacuum Pan Dryer designed for batch drying solids and concentrations of liquids. There are Type B (Bottom Driven Agitation) Pan Dryers and Type T (Top Driven Agitation) Vacuum Pan Dryers available from Guedu (De Dietrich).
