Used 400,000 TPY vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant built in 2000. Uses Fluidized Bed Oxy Chlorination Reaction process, which entails the reaction of ethylene, oxygen, and hydrogen chloride over a copper chloride catalyst to produce EDC.
